Prachak Roasted Duck in Bangkok

After a little river cruise on the Chao Phraya river, we got off at the Sathorn pier which is located near the Saphan Taksin MRT station.  We decided to have lunch at Prachak Roasted Duck, a restaurant founded in 1909.

I have never associated roasted duck with Thai food, but I could not resist.
The noodle station is located in the entrance on the right, while they carve the meat on the left.

Duck, pork, pig feet, heaven.

The restaurant is busy with chatty locals.

We probably ordered a bit too much, but the food was great, more Chinese than Thai.

Wonton soup

Fried rice which made my small son very happy.

A mix of pork and duck over noodles.

Large noodles with pork.

I was sitting next to this mound of duck.

We had a great meal and they were very patient with us and our baby boy. The clientele was friendly. I believe that Bangkok Chinatown is located not too far. If you decide to take a river cruise on the Chao Phraya, the restaurant is about a 10 min walk from the Sathorn Pier.

It’s a busy place. Expect a wait and the chance to share a table with locals.
